A workshop in Ergodic Theory and Dynamical Systems to be held at the Department of Mathematics UNC Chapel Hill on
Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday March 22-March 25, 2012.
The Keynote speaker is Professor Jean-Christophe Yoccoz from Le College de France in Paris .
The workshop starts on Thursday March 22 at 4:00 pm (refreshments at 3:30 pm) with a colloquium talk to be given by Prof. Yoccoz in Chapman Room 211.
It ends on Sunday March 25, 2012.
The main themes are convergence phenomena in ergodic theory and dynamical systems, Teichmuller dynamics, interval exchange transformations, continued fractions.
Younger researchers are encouraged to participate.
The workshop is supported by the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the National Science Foundation.
There is no registration fee .
